about me.
I wish I could say reading and writing were my first love, but that would be a lie. In reality, my first love was running wild in the woods behind the house, getting covered in mud, and spinning stories in my head. From there it was only a matter of time—and Tamora Pierce’s full catalogue—before I started writing them down.
With a B.S. in Psychology and History minor from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh, I've always been fascinated and driven by human connection. Pulling from my education and experience, I strive to write character-driven stories weaving complex casts of friends and enemies alike. To me, the act of storytelling is at the core of connection and humanity itself.
When I’m not writing, you can catch me hiking mountains, daydreaming on the treadmill, and being sassed by my Golden Retriever, Pepper.
